Early Immigrants from India in Oregon

From the founding of the Ghadar Party in Astoria in 1914 to the lumber mills in the Mohawk Valley, immigrants from India have a rich and varied history in Oregon. Johanna Ogden, Dr. Pritam Rohila and Steve Williamson will give enlightening presentations on the reasons for East Indians began immigrating to Oregon, to the impact they had locally and globally.

The presentations will take place in the Anderson Room at Salem Public Library. Metered parking is available in the adjacent garage for $1.50 per hour.
