The dolls in this collection are made by hand and decorated with little or no mass manufactured material. Each doll is produced by individuals from the country and ethnic group represented by the doll itself. Common materials used in the fabrication of the dolls include: wood, leather, fabric, wax, stone, bone, metal, seeds, corn husks, coins, string, and other household materials.
